.....I have tried to make this as simple as possible. Are you, personally, absolutely positive that Osama Bin Laden somehow deserved to be coldbloodedly assassinated (assuming that he was), without benefit of a trial, by a state?

he should have been put on trial and if found guilty then executed.

I am not going to vote. and tell you that so as to allow you (anyone here) to read into that what you may. Oh man I love this topic. Bob you know dam well i got some on this one ! I, too found this spectacle a bit distressing..In this supposedly religious law abiding country of ours the spectacle of a bunch of ignoramuses chanting USA, USA WE'RE # 1 was a bit embarrassing to say the least..Killing is a serious business, its not a foot ball game or a wrestling match..There is indeed a double standard in this country. We have been bombing and invading foreign countries all of my life..Its perfectly OK to do so, as, we Americans have been ordained by god to be the "city on the hill" to lead the uncivilised nations out of the darkness of "having their own way of doing things"..Is it not inevitable that sooner or later we might be on the receiving end of a military attack..To a nation of unthinking unquestioning religious fundamentalists this possibility is a never an issue..To a thinking well informed public it is something worthy of our concern.Rest assured, when this most recent tyrant had been dispatched a NEW ONE is certainly waiting in the wings,..How can we justify spending trillions of dollars on the military if there are no more 'terrorists" to fight?....I,m sick of this fucking shit and the mother fuckers who buy into it....Just a bunch of cattle..that's all...

I trust a trial by a state about as much as I trust any other political entity. Without having an absolute feeling of guilt or innocence worthy of death, seems to me he got what was coming to him either way. You poke a stick in the eye of something like the US long enough, they're gonna get you eventually. All politics aside, Bin Laden's involvement with what we identify as the "9/11" attacks was a pretty stupid move, statistically speaking. He was bound to catch one in the head eventually. Soon enough someone else will be named public enemy #1 and we'll continue this idiocy we call a war on terror.
Personally I'm more interested in the new Godz album or a Snickers bar.
